WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY- Several people were forced from their home Monday morning in Wilkes-Barre.

A fire broke out in a house on Columbus Street just after 4:00 A.M. Firefighters evacuated the homes on both sides of the burning house as a precaution. Fortunately the fire did not spread to those houses, but there is extensive damage in the home where it started.

No one was injured. An investigation is under way.
