Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne County - There's a warning for people who live in a Wilkes-Barre neighborhood. Keep an eye on your kids when they are out. Police are still looking for a gun used in a murder. The murder happened Thursday night on Moyallen Street. Police have a suspect in custody, but not the gun.

The murder weapon has not been found. The killing was brutal enough, now the fear is another tragedy could occur, possibly involving an innocent child.

Helen Telencio, of Wilkes-Barre, makes sure these kids cross Park Avenue in Wilkes-Barre safely. But today she is not only watching out for cars. Police say Josue Faurels may have hidden the murder weapon in this neighborhood after firing three shots and killing 19 year old Christly Aristide late Thursday. The two men argued shortly before the murder. Helen says, "The kids are scared, and so am I. You don't know what's going to happen next you know?"

The killing happened on Moyallen Street and police made a quick arrest, but the gun, a 9 millimeter handgun is still missing. Helen continues, “I am scared, scared to death but I just think the kids will be wise enough not to touch it now that you have been here. I'm just hoping they find it before any of the children do."

Adrienne Mitchell, of Wilkes-Barre, has five children. She says she will be extra careful when she takes them trick-or-treating. She says, “Yes, very very I am really concerned. It’s really scary. I hope they find it."

Police have been searching for that gun all day. There's always a possibility the gun is not in that neighborhood. It’s always better to play it safe than sorry later. If you do find the gun do not touch it, call 9-1-1.
