WYOMING, LUZERNE COUNTY- It was a beautiful fall day for hundreds of animal-lovers who showed up at Frances Slocum State Park.

The SPCA of Luzerne County held its 18th Annual Walk for the Animals. Pets and their owners participated in the walk. A priest blessed the animals before they trekked off.

"It's a major fundraiser for us and it’s also a great opportunity for people to show their support for animal welfare in Luzerne County," said SPCA Director Vince Sweeney.

Event organizers said Saturday’s event was the biggest turnout they've ever had. They also tell us their happy the animals ranging in size from 3 to 200 pounds all had a chance to play.
