Frigidaire is recalling 35,000 washing machines because they could pose a fire hazard. The washers are Crosley® Frigidaire® Kelvinator® Kenmore® , Wascomat® and White-Westinghouse® top load washers, 3.1 cubic foot front load washers, and laundry centers manufactured from February 20, 2009 through April 24, 2009.
An internal defect in the washer’s drain pump can cause heat to build up, posing a fire hazard.
