WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY -- It's a case of 'here we go again' for people living in a Wilkes-Barre neighborhood. Water flooded their road Saturday evening and some homeowners say they're fed up.
The water came gushing out of the ground along Scott Street near Conyngham Avenue. The steady flow of water had firefighters blocking off the road.
A frustrated homeowner spoke to Eyewitness News. He says this is the third time the water main snapped in his neighborhood.
He wants the water company to come up with a permanent solution. Dale Gardinor said, "All's we like is for them to come and fix the problem. And to get it done and fix it right so this doesn't happen again. Because this is not only is it a problem where the water is flowing down the streets it's also a problem where it's destroying the road."
Gardinor says he's concerned that the repeat broken water main could cause bigger problems, like possibly causing a road collapse. | |
