Pleasant Mount, Wayne County -

Thousands gathered for the Pleasant Mount parade. The crowds came to catch a glimpse of past and present veterans and to say thank you for their service to our country. The main attraction this year are two men who received their purple hearts for their heroics in Iraq. They are Lance Corporal Brian McGranahan and Sgt. John Nebzydoski
McGranahan was injured by a grenade in his second tour of duty. There was also a silent salute for another soldier, 22 year old Army Sgt. Andy Brown, who died in Iraq in 2004.
