PALMERTON, CARBON COUNTY- A long time weatherly police officer was in court Friday to face charges.

Anthony McFadden, 49, is accused of unlawful contact with a minor. Investigators say he had phone sex and chatted over the internet with a 15-year-old girl.

Police seized his phone records and said he made 171 calls to the girl. Some of the calls lasted more than 144 minutes.

McFadden is free on $20,000 unsecured bail. He faces jail time if convicted.
