WEST WYOMING, LUZERNE COUNTY- Carmen, Brian and Matt get in some last-minute biking before calling it a night.

The boys' West Wyoming neighborhood is on a county list. They're targeting mosquitoes.

Mark Paluski of West Wyoming told Eyewitness News "Well before the West Nile I didn't think it was too bad.
And then on Saturday when they said one had west nile?
Yeah, I was scared."

Most of the area was unaware a mosquito tested positive for west nile virus.
The pest came from a swamp near this ball field.

"Well it's a scary thing." said Little League Coach Dan Skok,
"You hear about it and think it's in everybody else's neighborhood but your own."

Dan skok found out Saturday in the middle of his daughter's t-ball game.
The game ended abruptly.
They've been waiting for the county to spray.

Skok told us "We haven't used the field since then.
We're waiting to hear they're doing the spraying, whatever needs to be done to keep these kids safe."

While word about that mosquito was slow to get around, news that the county would spray was a different story.

Carmen Randazzo was waiting for fog truck tonight. He said it was going to be a new experience for him.

One last dash to the car And the neighborhood shut down.
The truck spewed a mist designed to nip mosquitoes in the bud.
