They seemed to promote something positive but the group that posted them preaches anything but a positive message.

Fliers posted in a Wilkes-Barre neighborhood are causing quite a stir.

The group that posted these fliers is called keystone united.

A group of Pennsylvania skinheads marking their territory next to homes, churches, even a high school.

They were posted on utility poles on Hanover, Horton, and Carlisle streets in Wilkes-Barre.

Fliers asking neighbors to band together against drugs and crime.

But the group posting them, Keystone United, preaches a message of white supremacy.

Neighbors here aren't happy

Sean Meehan says,

“I just think it's disgusting that this day and age, we're still dealing with the racism."

John Malloy says, "It's only going to cause more violence. And that's the last thing we need in this area, we got enough violence the way it is, so we don't need any more to say the least."

The fliers don't specifically point out a specific race, but clearly show a picture of an African American man.

They say NYC and Philly are coming to a neighborhood near you.

Wilkes-Barre NAACP president Ron Felton says he sees right through it.

"I don't give a whole lot of credibility to these groups because that's how shallow they are," says Felton.

He says the fliers are deceptive, and promote hate.

Many of them were posted on poles around Meyers high school.

Felton says, "I don't go around and you don't see people from the African American community going around posting up signs that promote hate."

City workers took most of the fliers down.

We only found one on Westminster Street.

Neighbors hope it one comes down too.

"We're trying to clean up the neighborhood with drugs and gangs, but they're making it worse," says Meehan.

WBRE news contacted Keystone United, requesting an interview.

The group did not respond.

Keystone United claims to have a Scranton-Wilkes-Barre chapter, but only lists a P.O. box in Dunmore as it's home base.
