WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY-The I-Team has confirmed that an investigation is underway in the Wilkes-Barre Area School District late Tuesday. School administrators at G. A.R. High School, got a tip that a 14 year old girl, may have been having sexual contact with a man, a father of a student at the Dodson Elementary school the connection between the girl and that father, is not yet clear.
Sources close to the case tell us, the girl was passing a note in class at G. A.R. High school late Tuesday..that note gave details of alleged sexual relations she was having with that man..
That same note alleged that the man was paying the girl for sex and that it had been going on for quite sometime..
G. A.R. Officials called in school district security officers, as well as Children and Youth Services and Wilkes-Barre Police..
The School District Managers also notified every school board member, to make them aware of the disturbing allegations and ongoing investigation..

Andy Mehalshick spoke with Dr. Jeff Namey, Superintendent of Schools for the Wilkes-Barre Area School District, he told Eyewitness News, he is very troubled by these allegations and very concerned . He insists the district is conducting its own investigation. Namey also said at this point in time, there is no evidence to show that the alleged contact occurred on school district property.
