Reported by: Eyewitness News
Friday April 09 2010
WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY-

Hold the phone and not while your driving . Ci ty Council passed an ordinance banning cell phones while driving.

The law will go into effect on April 18th.

It means police can stop motorists who are using their cell while driving.

There will be a two month warning period.

Then beginning July first, offenders will face a 75 dollar fine.

AAA wants the city to hold back on the ban, saying it should be a statewide, not local measure.
