WILLIAMSPORT, LYCOMING COUNTY- The elderly man who tried to save his wife from their burning home in Lycoming County has died.
Fire officials said 80-year Carl Dimassimo died Thursday at the Lehigh Valley Burn Unit. Back on October 1st his home on Dove Street in Williamsport went up in flames.
Dimassimo's wife, 84-year old Shirley didn't make it out of the building alive.
Investigators believe careless smoking is responsible and that medical oxygen tanks in the home fueled the flames. | | |
