WILLIAMSPORT, LYCOMING COUNTY- The city of Williamsport has seen a surge of crime including a recent shooting rampage -that killed one and injured six.
Now the new mayor is responding with a show of force.
Mayor Gabriel Campana and Police Chief Greg Foresman are bringing back "community policing" to their city.
Some officers will work with the county drug task force.. others with a street crimes unit that is still being put together.
The mayor is also looking to hire more full time police officers.
