Police say the violence erupted before eleven Friday night. Shots were fired outside a home on Adams Avenue. Two men where hit. A few blocks away, one person was gunned down in the parking lot of Mcnamee's cafe on Franklin Street. Police say the victim was found dead near a pickup truck. All this before the gunfire at the Unimart.

Police say the shootings happened just a few minutes from one another, and they are working hard to determine if the shootings were in fact related.
Chief Gary Whiteman of the Williamsport police deaprtment says it is very unusual, frightenly unusual, you have to wonder as the investigation goes if we won't pull something that leads us on a different path than we are thinking right now.
News traveled fast. With the shooter still at large, employees at this Sheetz Store in nearby Loyalsock Township locked the doors. It was safety first, customers second.
Bill Albertson, a would-be customer said i don't blame them i guess, with ladies in there, not much you can do about it. It's a shame.
