UP ON THE ROOF OF WBRE-TV-Taking part in this first ever roof top wing ding...Black Diamond from Frackville, Murphy's from Swoyersville, McGinty's of Scranton, Whiskey Business of Wilkes-Barre, Bart and Urby's of Wilkes-Barre,
Town Tavern from Duryea, Stadium Club from Moosic...Januzzi's from Wilkes-Barre, Wing Zone from Pittston, Andy Gavin's from Scranton,
Gonda's from Wilkes-Barre, Tommy's from Kingston and Penalty Box from Scranton.
We lined up some hearty souls to judge this prestigious affair.
Our judges Amy Silveri and Cody Kyttle from Salon Mouveau,
A-J from 97 B-HT, Michael Hockenberry and Brian Jarvis from the Citizen's Voice...Gene Padden from Diamond City Magazine.
Liz Rightor, Amanda Smith from our WBRE Sales Department, Photojournalist Luke Johnson and our WBRE Intern Barry DeWitt.
And after hours of testing, sweating through the hot ones...Savoring the mild...And enjoying the unique flavor blends... And we enjoyed every last one of them...
But we had to pick
Honorable mention: Murphy's mild from Murphy's in Swoyersville...
And Tommy's "Texas Ranch" from Kingston...
Third place: The Black Diamond "Orginal Wings" from the Black Diamond in Frackville.
Second place: "Italian Parmesan" from the Penalty Box in Scranton.
First place.: "Hawaiian Wings" from Bart and Urby's in Wilkes-Barre. | | |
