WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY -- A Wilkes-Barre woman is charged with stealing from a cerebral palsy organization.
Anne Hudanick was arraigned this morning in Luzerne County Central Court. Police say Hudanick stole up to $120,000 from Creating Unlimited Possibilities. That's an organization helping people diagnosed with cerebral palsy.
According to police reports, Hudanick stole the money to feed a bingo addiction.
Hudanick didn’t say anything as she left Central Court in Wilkes-Barre. Police say Hudanick was the bookkeeper for Creating Unlimited Possibilities.
They say she stole this money over the course of 10 years. The missing money was discovered during an audit in late 2008.
When police interviewed Hudanick, she apparently told them she was feeding a bingo addiction, playing at least 5 times a week.
After her arraignment, she was released on $25,000 bail. | |
