HAZLETON, LUZERNE COUNTY -- A Hazleton women accused in a horrific case of child abuse is going to trial.

Police say Barbara Reimiller hit her 8-year-old son with a metal pipe and stick. She's accused of locking the boy in a room with no bathroom for hours at a time when she left the house and feeding him dog food for dinner.

Investigators say the abuse happened for nearly one-year at Reimiller's North Cedar Street home.
