LOYALSOCK TWP., LYCOMING COUNTY- A deadly crash closed a well-traveled road for nearly 7 hours Monday night.
The accident happened around 3:00 in the 2300 block of Northway Road in Loyalsock Township. State Police say 77-year-old Ruth Dunkleberger lost control of her car and slammed into a utility pole. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Northway Road was closed between Four Mile Drive and the Northway Road extension until 10:00 Monday night while police investigated that crash.
