PLYMOUTH, LUZERNE COUNTY -- A woman is dead and a man is in police custody after a stabbing in Plymouth.
Police say 35-year-old Rosemarie Cave was found stabbed to death inside her apartment on Nottingham Street. Around 2:30 this morning a neighbor called 9-1-1 about a domestic disturbance at Cave's apartment. Police showed up and found Cave dead inside.
The person who police say stabbed her was later caught walking along the levee in Kingston. His name is not being released right now, but he is in custody and is expected to be arraigned this afternoon.
Eyewitness News talked with neighbors about the incident and Cave's brothers shortly after they found out their sister was dead.
"I miss her," said Cave's brother, Robert Sult. "We have to stay strong as a family, but we miss her."
"I don't even know what I'm thinking right now," said her other brother, Ron. "It's just not fair."
Cave's 16-year-old daughter was asleep in her bedroom when Cave was killed. She's now staying with her grandparents.
Neighbors are concerned with what they call growing crime in Plymouth.
"This is the second time someone's been murdered this month. We're scared," said Gina Hatton.
"I'm concerned because I'm raising a three-year-old and a 16-year-old who rides his bike around all the time," said Bryan Denny. | | |
