KINGSTON, LUZERNE COUNTY- A woman is attacked in her own home Monday and now police are trying to find the home invader. That woman suffered a broken jaw in that attack and now her family speaks out about the crime.
Kingston Police converged on Main Street looking for evidence in a brutal home invasion that happened around 10:30 Monday morning.
The woman’s husband told us the attacker moved quickly. The guy knocked on the front door, then hid out of sight. Her husband said, "He knocked on the door, pushed his way in, punched her. She was knocked over a coffee table and that was that."
Their 20-year-old son was home was upstairs but could not catch the home invader.
Police say this attack should serve as a warning to all people. Kingston Police Chief Keith Keiper said, "Any home invasion, any robbery is scary. That's why we tell people to lock their doors to make sure they know who is out there before they open the door."
The suspect is a Hispanic male about 5'8” to 5'9" tall with dark hair. He was wearing a blue t-shirt and blue jeans. If you have any information call Kingston Police at 287-6911.
