LEWISBURG, UNION COUNTY-The trees were frozen and in snow...but the bidding's hot!
It's where retailers go to get Christmas goods. The Buffalo Valley Produce Auction in Union County.
"It'll help us a lot, gather up the stuff we don't produce ourselves", Raymond Stagner, Hagerstown Maryland.
Mostly Pennsylvania grown but the buyers come from surrounding states.
Ben Courtney,Buffalo Valley Produce Auction tells us "This is a good location because of its close proximity to growers and it's really only 2-3 hour drive to all the major cities on the East Coast."
Tammy Klock is buying for Ard's Market in Lewisburg, "We try to get as much local as possible to help the area."
She's filling her list but it's costing everyone a little more this year.

"The price of fuel and everything is gone up."
Over two days, three quarters of a million dollars will change hands here -- all to get you in the holiday spirit.
On Tuesday, the trees will go up for bid. All 40 thousand of them. They'll be auctioned off, dusted off and coming to a home near you.
