WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY- A wounded Iraq war veteran, who is also a double amputee, spoke about his war-time experience at Wilkes University.
Lieutenant Colonel Gregory Gadson was severely wounded by a roadside bomb in Baghdad two years ago. He lost both of his legs and badly bruised his arm.
Gadson learned to use prosthetic legs equipped with blue-tooth technology. He's one of only two double amputees to do so.
Monday, he presented his talk called "Pride, Poise and Team."
U. S. Army Lieutenant Colonial Gregory Gadson said, "I hope that they find something in my message that helps put life in perspective in hopes that maybe if they are in difficulty, or they find themselves in difficulty ,that they find a way to deal with it."
Gadson received three bronze starts, a purple heart, the meritorious service medal and the Army commendation medal for his service. | |
