SCOTT TWP., LACKAWANNA COUNTY -- State police blame a wrong-way driver for a series of crashes on Interstate 81 in Lackawanna County.

Troopers say 33-year-old Allison Griffin of South Gibson was traveling north in the southbound lanes near the Scott Township exit just after 5:00 Saturday evening.

She hit three vehicles, including one with three kids inside. Five people in all were taken to the hospital and I-81 was shut down for about an hour.

Griffin faces charges including DUI and reckless endangerment.
