MOOSIC, LACKAWANNA COUNTY- Play ball! The Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees managed to get a game in on their home turf Thursday night.

Their last homestand was moved elsewhere due to a swampy right field that couldn't handle days of heavy rain.

Some fans were happy to return to PNC Field. Others say the whole mess could've been avoided. Andy Kondratic said, ÒMy personal opinion, somebody tried to save a couple thousand dollars and they paid for it. They paid for it and fans were pretty well disgusted, oh come up here and find out the game is canceled. Some people came as far as Allentown and those places and never knew the game was canceled."

Commissioners from Luzerne and Lackawanna counties held a private meeting Thursday to discuss how to fund any more long-term repairs that are needed at the ball park.
