The I-Team tracked down this video on the popular social website YouTube. It is brutal, downright violent and at times hard to watch. It apparently involved students from the Wilkes-Barre area. Much of it is videotaped in the city some of it near school property.
We brought the video to the attention of Superintendent Dr. Jeff Namey. He was meeting with every principal in the school district. He wanted them to see what was going on. He says, “Well, this is very troubling. I don't know why young people are doing these things. I know we take it very, very seriously. All of our building principals, without exception, all of our schools resource officers on a routine basis patrol those sites. This is very troubling. It's become a national trend filming fight clubs. In many cases we've dealt with this on a weekly basis.”
Dr. Namey and these principals insist acts like this will not be tolerated.
