On Wednesday, Eyewitness News spoke with Kurt Masser, the Repuplican vying for retiring Representative Robert Belfanti's state house seat.
Now we introduce you to the man who will oppose him in the 107th District in November's general election.
That man is Coal Township Commissioner George Zalar, who won the Democratic primary.
We caught up with Zalar in Sunbury Thursday, where he spoke about the need to create jobs and truly listen to constituents.
Zalar said, "I'm going to get around, I'm going to knock on doors, I'm going to be at these functions. I need to meet the people who you're going to represent in Harrisburg. We need to know their issues. They need to tell us that. We can't just assume what the issues are."
Zalar has served as commissioner in Coal Township for 10 years.
He's a former iron worker who garnered Belfanti's endorsement in the primary election. | |
