At 7 a. m. Monday morning, Walmart stores nationwide un-caged the popular Zhu Zhu Hamsters.
The Zhu Zhu pets are robotic hamsters that drive around in cars and run in their hamster wheels.
They have artificial intelligence that lets them know what room of their hamster habitat they're in.
They make toilet-flushing or teeth-brushing sounds when they enter the bathroom of their hamster world.
They also make sleeping noises and alarm-clock sounds when they go into their bedroom.
Zhu Zhu pets have been sold out in some stores, in different areas they're on sale Monday morning for $8.
We found them on Ebay for $20 to $40 apiece.
The distributions this week will range from 20 per store each day to more than 60 per day in most stores.
The sale happens again both Tuesday and Wednesday mornings at 7am .
Shoppers are limited to one Zhu Zhu pet per day. | | |
