Recipe Apple Spice Rice (Side Dish)

Required Ingredients:
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1 cup long grain rice
- 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 small tart apple - peeled, cored and diced
- 1/2 cup golden raisins
- 1 1/2 cups chicken broth
Preparing/Cooking:
- Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
- Stir in rice, onion, garlic, apple and raisins.
- Saute for 3 to 4 minutes.
- Stir in chicken broth, and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 16 to 18 minutes, or until liquid is absorbed.
