Recipe Red, Juicy, Herb-Fried Tomatoes (Side Dish)

Required Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons dried basil
- 2 tablespoons dried thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 teaspoon white pepper
- 5 teaspoons olive oil
- 2 Roma (plum) tomatoes, halved lengthwise
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Preparing/Cooking:
- In a small bowl, mix together basil, thyme, salt, and white pepper.
- Mix in 5 teaspoons olive oil to make a spreadable paste.
- Spread paste on cut side of each tomato half.
- Heat remaining 2 tablespoons olive oil in small skillet over medium-low heat.
- Place tomatoes herb-side down in skillet, and cover.
- Simmer for 5 minutes; tomatoes should be hot but not stewed.
- Serve immediately.
