Recipe Walnut Pie I (Pie)

Required Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup white sugar
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 1/4 cups dark corn syrup
  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • 3/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup walnuts
  • 1 (9 inch) pie shell

Preparing/Cooking:

  • Scatter nuts over bottom of unbaked pie shell.
  • In a large bowl, stir together sugar, flour, and salt.
  • Stir in milk until smooth.
  • Add eggs, corn syrup, butter or margarine and vanilla.
  • Beat until thoroughly blended.
  • Pour filling carefully over nuts; make sure the nuts are still spread out evenly over the crust bottom.
  • Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 1 hour.
  • Cool.
